The world of work is changing

The world of work is changing fast. Redundancy is no longer a rare disruption; it is a predictable moment in a modern career.

Yet most support systems were built for a different era. People are still expected to rebuild confidence, skills and identity on their own.

Too many talented mid‑career professionals are falling through the gaps: overqualified for entry‑level schemes, underserved by executive outplacement, and unsure where they fit in a future shaped by AI.

We are Avenir Pathways

Avenir Pathways exists to change that. We help people reset with clarity, confidence and capability, and re‑enter the workforce stronger than they left it.

Our programmes blend behavioural science, career strategy and practical AI skills to turn redundancy into a position of clarity, capability, and momentum.

The Future Reset Programme

Future Reset is our flagship three‑day programme for Londoners who have recently been made redundant from roles paying £28k–£67k.

By the end of Future Reset, participants leave with:

  • A clear career direction.
  • A rebuilt sense of identity and confidence.
  • Practical AI and digital literacy.
  • A stronger personal brand, with a future‑focused CV and a LinkedIn profile.
  • A community of peers and a personalised 90‑day action plan.

Designed for those most at risk

Every year, tens of thousands of Londoners in the middle of the earnings distribution (around £28k–£65k) are affected by redundancy and restructuring, with London facing one of the highest redundancy risks in the UK.

Drawing on London income distribution data and regional redundancy statistics, we estimate that around 20,000–40,000 Londoners each year fall into this ‘messy middle’ salary band (£28k–£67k) and face redundancy or restructuring.

Individuals from underrepresented communities are disproportionately likely to face redundancy and underemployment.

Our mission is that at least 51% of participants in every cohort will be from underrepresented groups.

We partner with funders, employers and networks to remove barriers to access and ensure those most at risk are not left behind by the future of work.
